A Guest Dezigner, Me?

You must be mistaken! That was the first thought that ran through my head when I read the email from Kim Ross, manager of Shimmerz! I was so honored to be asked - of course I accepted! Thank you so much Stacey and Kim for this fun opportunity!

I'm pretty sure if you've been to my blog before - you know all about Shimmerz! I LOVE it - I'm pretty sure I'd marry it if I wasn't already married...but don't tell my husband that! So, Shimmerz...well, it is this awesome paint that is soo shiny and it glimmers beautifully, um, maybe that is where they got the name...Shimmerz! I even got to use new - never released colors! They are limited edition colors - released just today! Sage Brush, Beeswax, and Rustic Red - don't they sound gorgeous - just in time for Autumn too AND Lindsey has them already at Jacksonbelle Embellishments! So you want to see what I made with them?

Here Ya Go!

Cute, don't you think? I've had this plastic container for a while. It originally came with gumballs and the kids begged for them every day! I told them as soon as I figured out what I was going to do with it - they could have them! They were so thrilled to see me working on this the other day - the just wanted to know where the gum was! I just think it is soo cute with the mini scoop!

Lovin the Shimmerz!

Okay, so back to the project! It is actually quite simple! I stamped the Kitchen Sink Stamps Squirrel with three different colors of ink onto white paper. Then I painted the paper with the Beeswax Shimmerz - I love the golden warm color it created! I layered that piece on top of a piece of Cranberry Crisp SU paper. I used the Rustic Red Shimmerz to pain clear Michael's baubles - and they matched as close to perfect as you can get! Thrilled! I thought they made really cute corner embellishments! My friend Heather sent me the ribbon; I believe she said it was May Arts - and it is delish and I knew I had to use it! The leaves came in a Prima Poinsettia tin and I thought they looked kind of cute on there too. My husband loves nuts, so I plan to give it to him. I really wanted to put "Got Nuts?" on it....I thought that would be funny! I may have to change it!

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out the Shimmerz blog - the design team has some great creations with the new colors! I have a few other projects I'm working on and hope to share them soon! I didn't use the Sage Brush Shimmerz on this project so be sure to look for that on the Shimmerz blog (and of course, in my next projects!) - it's beautiful!
