I missed last week’s Splitcoast sketch challenge so I wasn’t going to miss it this week!
The Card.
This was a bit of a difficult sketch (SC178) for me or at least a difficult card to make. Underneath the greenish layer there is actually a full layer of Cool Caribbean-like color (although not SU) embossed and inked a bit, but I decided the color wasn’t what I wanted (and the embossing and inking was too busy) so instead of tearing the card apart, I just covered it up! The color I went with was just the backside of the patterned paper that I used. After I made it the green layer it was too blank so I decided to stamp this lovely Inkadinkado Stamp from the Fancy That line (You can find it at Jacksonbelle Embellishments - link on side bar). I added a little color with prismacolor pencils (and now the flower looks like a starfish..but I wasn't changing it again!), and the sentiment is a rub-on. I love all of the products that I used for the card I'm just not sure that I love the card. I really struggled with it. I think it may have been because I had just watched the newly released movie, Rambo, and it was soo bloody and gory and action packed through the whole thing I think my brain was exhausted!
Card Details: Paper: Choc. Chip Cardstock, My Minds Eye Tres Jolie Mon Cheri paper (green color and striped pattern), and DCWV Caribbean-like blue. Ink: Choc. Chip. Stamps: Inkadinkado Fancy That. Accessories: American Crafts brads, Prismacolor pencils, and Prima Marketing Flowers - Elements (These are gorgeous!, and Crate Transfers (Happy Birthday Rub-on).

Hope you are having a good day.
I love how you layered the flowers in the diamond. Neat way to interpret the sketch!
