Making simple just a bit more special!

I just wanted to share a picture of a simple gift that I made just a little bit more special! I found this great vase at a local glass shop (where they even have a glass blowing workshop right there so you can watch!), and I loved it - I wanted it for myself actually! I didn't want to just wrap it up and give it; I wanted it more personalized, so I made a quick card with some matching tissue paper! I put it in a nice white box, and tied it with matching ribbon. I also picked a fresh bouquet of lavender. The recipient loves lavender (as do I) so I picked a HUGE bundle of it out of my yard and tied it with matching ribbon as well. (Lavender is the ONLY plant that I have planted and have NOT killed or my husband has not 'accidentally' sprayed with Round-Up!) It was well received!

The Gift.

I used two stamp sets from Verve Visual, Fluttering By (for the tissue paper - it has the larger butterflies) and Petals and Stems for the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow is Jacksonbelle Tuesday - Anything Goes! and Wednesday is a new Color Throwdown color challenge! See you then!
