I'm not normally a "blue" person but these colors really do look awesome together! Don't you?
Okay, so what do you think about the stem and the leaves? I totally love them! My good friend Heather sent me some of this May Arts ribbon, possibly silk ribbon. I LOVE the texture, the color, the weight, everything about it! I had originally used the sewing machine to create the stem and leaves, but then I decided it wasn't bold enough to support the big flower - so I came up with this! I used red-line sticky strip to hold the ribbon down (I went right over the sewing that I did). Once the sticky-strip was down, I used my paper piercer to help scrunch up the ribbon and create the ruffled look. It sicks perfectly and because the ribbon is quite thin it doesn't get too bulky! I used a large Nestabilities scalloped circle to create the flower. I just love this paper - I think it is Heidi Grace - sorry though - I'm just too lazy to go look right now! I added a few circles for the flower center and a button - and that would be it! I wasn't going to stamp anything, but then I decided it needed a little something, so I found an old Michael's (Studio G) clear stamp and used that! Thanks for looking!
