And here it is...

The Gift.
I hope you are not too disappointed with it.
The Gift.

I know it isn't anything really exciting, but I do think it turned out pretty cute. Of course, I wanted to stamp and do all sorts of paper crafting for this gift, but nothing seemed to work out right for me. I wanted to create a band of paper to put around the cup, but I didn't have any paper long enough, so that idea was scrapped (and I didn't want to have seams, etc.) so, I just decided to fill it and tie some yummy SU! ribbon on it and call it good or at least good enough!

The Backside.
The Backside.
The ribbons are pretty cute, aren't they? I originally thought I'd make this for a Mother's Day gift, but once I put it all together, I thought it was more appropriate for a "New Mother" pampering gift or a baby shower gift..especially with the frame!

The Frame.
The Frame.

Isn't this just the cutest thing ever? Mary found it while on our little shopping trip and told me I needed to get it! I'm sure glad she did! It was $1.00! I picked up a couple and now I'm thinking I need to send my sister to pick up a few more! I covered it with yummy SEI paper, Pee-Wees Kiwis (I spent what seemed like HOURS drooling over this paper deciding if I needed to get it or not...and I'm so glad I did, I just didn't get enough!) The whole line was so cute. The rub-ons are Heidi Grace, Day Dream Believer, and I'm not too sure why I didn't buy more of this stuff too! CUTE! CUTE! I used ModPodge to adhere the paper, seal in the rub-ons, glue on the buttons, and I even used a tiny dab under the ribbons to hold them in place; it worked wonderfully! I love that stuff! It is a mess to clean up....but it sure holds well! I just left the original picture insert inside the frame for now, but I did cut a piece of acetate to give a new photo more protection.

It's fabulous. Almost makes me want to be a new mom again. *snort*

I am a bad blogger and a bad blogger friend - Google Reader doesn't even GO so high as the amount of unread posts I have. But I'm visiting a few of my best girls today for a few - GOOD STUFF, you know you are amazing.
