I got a new printer!

Yeah for me! I got a good deal too, I think I did anyway! I've needed a new printer for quite a while now. My printer is about 5 years old, I'd say, and it stopped taking anything other than plain old copy paper a few years back, so I couldn't even print a picture : ( or print on cardstock...nothin' fun! It was an All-in-One, fax, scan, copy, and print, so I knew I could only get another All-in-One printer, sort of the "no-going-back" to anything less deal with me! I just want to be able to print a picture on real photo paper....not typing paper! So, I spied a printer in the Staples sale paper, and I thought..."Oh, My mom has a similar printer..I want that printer!" It even has the slots for memory sticks, etc. (Yes, I'm way in the dino-days with my ol' computer and printer - I even need an adapter for my computer to read my memory stick from my camera! I just don't welcome change too easily when it comes to my computer...I've spent way to many a-days bashing my forehead against the monitor (I do have a flat screen now though... much softer and much more expensive so I won't be bashing my head on it) with computer issues!) Okay, back to the NEW computer! I spied it on sale for a good price, regularly $299... on sale for $179....Okay, now that is a sale! So it doesn't print on DVDs.... do I really need that option? No, not yet anyway! Then I see, "Trade In and Trade Up and get $50 savings instantly!" Okay....I'm so there! I have this really old dino (a freebie with a computer probably 5 computers ago) I could trade in, keep my "only copy-paper-printin-but-still-good copier/scanner" printer for kids, and get myself a new one! Yippee!! So I ran to town (Coos Bay) and pick'd 'r up and brought'r home and I am in love! It even has a screen so I can see my pictures without the computer being on!! I was able to connect it wirelessly and save a USB port too (I'm lacking on those too.. and have to have an adapter for extras!) I decided I'd try the wireless and if I have issues then I can always plug'r in the other way!

Anyway, I just wanted to share my saving today! I got a $299 printer (yes probably last year's model...but I don't care!) for $129! Now that's a good deal! So, if you are looking for a new printer, check out Staples and Trade up! The only catch is that the new printer you are purchasing must have an original price of $159 or higher. Your old printer doesn't even have to work! If you take the printer to Staples, you get the discount instantly! I'm not sure if all Staples offer this, so call and check first before dragging your dino down there (dino=printer...not bum!!)
