You're a Star!

I finally had a little bit of stamping time this weekend. It was very broken-up and here-and-there, but I got three whole cards done...so I should have at least 3 posts this week! I'm hoping to find a bit more time in the next few days to play a little bit more!

I made this card thinking I had a stamp that said, "You are a Blast" but apparently I was wrong, and I only had "You're a Star" so I went with it (and I was thankful that I used star paper and chipboard as it worked just as well!)

You're a Star!

I received this paper as a prize from Leica (she's got a great blog so check it out!) and I LOVED it right from the STARt. : ) I'm not very comfortable working with brights, but there are a few paper packs that I am drawn too and make it easy to use! (Prima - Dude - is another one that you won't be sorry to own!). The paper I used is from Bo Bunny Shabby Princess - Star Struck Collection. I got the ribbon last week with my order from Jacksonbelle Embellishments and it is delish! The red side is AWESOME (the orange is great too) but it seems that often times red ribbon just tends to be dull....this is brilliantly bright! I wanted to sort of make it look like the flames of the rocket ship, but I still can't decide if I love the way I tied it. I think I might like it better if I had kept all red sides showing tied onto the orange side, rather than each one showing a different side....if that makes any sense to you! The star is a big piece of chipboard covered with paper from the same Star Struck line. The rocket ship is from Lizzie Anne Designs "Out of this World". (I see Lindsey is out of stock, but if you really want it, I bet begging wouldn't hurt - she may even have some on order!) I colored it with prismacolor alcohol markers and used some Diamond Stickles on the windows and the flames to give it a bit if shine.....and that would be it! Thanks for checkin' it out!

See you tomorrow with Jacksonbelle Embellishments Tuesday Challenge. Tomorrow is a spotlight challenge using Daisy D's Chloe Marie paper!
