Jacksonbelle Tuesday and The Contest Continues!

Good Morning! Sorry I'm running late - I was up until 3 last night making plum jam! ( Well I made the jam until 12:30 then had to finish up some work until 3.) If you've never had plum jam/jelly ....you are missing out! It is delish! On my second batch I didn't have quite enough plums, so I added raspberry juice (didn't want the seeds so juiced them) and blueberries (wasn't going to attempt to get those seeds out) and WOW! It is delish too! Okay, back to the regularly scheduled program!

Lynda created another awesome sketch for this week's Jacksonbelle Embellishments Team (and contest). Please read this post for contest rules.

Here's my card!

I know, not your typical holiday card, a bit funky, but still fun! I love this Inkadinkado owl - she's soo pretty! I kind of goofed on the green snowflakes on the image, but we will pretend I meant for them to look like that! I decided that the Chloe Marie rub-ons sort of matched the snowflakes....sort of, so I decided to use them. (Actually, after the first one I used I decided it was too late and I wasn't going to waist them by erasing them, so I just did more!) They sort of look like snowflakes if you squint your eyes and tilt your head to the right! I used Jack's World Paper - great fun colors! And finally the flower...isn't she pretty? I colored a white prima flower with red and yellow Prismacolor markers and added a glass bauble for the center. I also found some leaves in the same bucket as the white flower (woohoo for that- this bucket is awesome - great price and you get TONS of stuff, I even found a butterfly, a bird, and a Christmas tree in there!). I colored the leaves with two green Prismacolor markers, and then guess what? Yup! I painted with Shimmerz! I think I used Angel Wings for this one! The sentiment is LAD.

Be sure to check out the other girls! They are hot ya know!
