Doin' the Shimmerz Shimmy!

You can still comment for blog candy here!

Shimmerz! Have you tried it? Lindsey at Jacksonbelle started carrying it just a few weeks ago (don't worry, she's got more coming!). I thought, "Oh, it looks interesting, I'll try some. " Well......OMG.......It ROCKZ (with a Z of course) and I'm totally doing the ShimmerZ Shimmy! Yes, that is my new dance! It is shiny and glimmery and ooh it is awezome (yup, with another Z)!

So, why do I love it? Well, first of all, it is shimmery! We all know the shimmer of SU! Shimmery Cardstock, right? Well it is that kind of shimmer, but like x 100! I like Stickles, yes, but this is VERY different. Stickles is a glue and is more 3-D, and glitter, like Dazzling Diamonds, is 3-D too. I love both of these products too and will still use them, but for different techniques and looks.

What do I LOVE the most about the Shimmerz besides the fact that it is so shimmery? Well, it doesn't fall off or smear off! I LOVE using glitter, but if you touch it, no matter how much glue you use, some of the glitter falls off and gets on other parts of the cards. Shimmerz doesn't! It stays put......and it is flat! For flower centers that you want to have dimension, Yes, use Stickles, but if you want it smooth....use Shimmerz!

Check out this card! I was bathing in the Shimmerz!

I used white Shimmery paper (cuz that was all I could find on my table at the moment). I stamped the solid part of the Lizzie Anne Giraffe with So Safron, then stamped the black part with Stazon, then I colored in the spots with a prismacolor pencil, then I painted the entire thing with Sunflower Shimmerz. I put maybe two good layers. The color will intensify with more layers. Then when it dried I put the rub-on on! That is how smooth it is! I surely couldn't put a rub-on OVER glitter or glue! Then I decided to paint the Basic Grey piece of patterned paper that is going horizontally to help it match! I loved the final outcome! You can see the difference in the picture below!

The white paper and the paper with the hearts on the right-hand side is the original color. The papers to the left are painted with the Sunflower Shimmerz. See how they blend together purdier because they were both painted!?! I LOVE IT!

Well thanks for checkin me out today! I do hope you get the chance to use Shimmerz and do the Shimmerz Shimmy like me! You won't be disappointed! I've got a couple of more samples with Shimmerz for next week and I'm just as excited about them as I was this one, maybe even more!
