I made this one to look a bit more like a purse (and I didn't have any candy left to put in it). For the handles, I took scraps of matching brown just big enough to get the whole handle and ran them through the Big Shot with the same die, then I used the extra one as a stencil to complete the circle, cut them out, and glued them on - easy peasy and very cute! The flower and the brown strip also come on the die - I LOVE that it comes with the strip - sometimes those are the hardest things to cut out, especially if you need it to fit something rounded!
I filled this one with Hershey's Candy Corn Kisses (Um...it took two bags of Candy Corn Kisses, one bag of Caramel Apple Kisses, and one bag of Pumpkin Pie Kisses to fill this little guy - I planned to make more baskets, but I was out of candy!)
The only thing extra I did for this one was to take some ribbon and run it down the front of the basket, sort of like suspenders, just to help break up the black a bit. I used Imaginisce Hallowhimsy paper for the basket from Jacksonbelle Embellishments (she has tons of cute stuff for Halloween!) - I think it is the cutest Halloween paper eva! The flowers are also part of the SU! die, and the bats are a Martha punch!I hope to get a few minutes to play tomorrow for National Card Making Day - My first stop will be at my friend Heather's Blog - she's got LOTS of challenges and prizes going on! If you get a chance, check her out!
