Our Craft Lounge – A little news.

Our Craft Lounge is lettin’ loose a little surprise today – an official Design Team!  Yep, you heard me right!  Look at the list of major-talented stampers below….WOWZA, eh?  I’m pretty sure I don’t really fit in with the talents of those peoples……but I’m tagging along for the ride and you can bet it will be a fun one!  Kendra, the wonderful, awesome, talented and oh-so-organized, Kendra is the OCL Design Team Coordinator!  She has come up with some great ideas for the team and one will be a weekly spotlight!  Each week we will spotlight a different set and this week the light is on Bookworm! What perfect timing too!!? Just when we need graduation cards and teacher thank you gifts!   I hope you find plenty of inspiration this week using Bookworm to help you out with all of your end-of-the-school-year projects, and if you are really a good stampin’ nerd….it’s never too early to get started on the beginning-of-the-year teacher gifts!!  Wink

I decided to use Bookworm to make a little teacher gift for my son’s teacher.  I thought that it might be nice to have a cute little package of thank you cards ready to use when someone does something nice for her at school or when she receives other gifts from students.  I tried to make some non-girly, just in case she needs one for a boy!

Card Details: I found the idea in the Papercrafts Magazine – 225 Cards and Gifts.  It had directions for a box and some quick little thank you cards.  I wanted to use smaller cards/envelopes, so I adjusted the measurements to fit my needs.  I love the simple layout!  I stamped the “Thanks” and the stack of books with the worm with Soot Black Ranger Ink.  On a separate piece of paper, I stamped the stack of books with colored ink, cut it out, and glued it over the stack of black books.  I colored the worm and “T” with Copic Markers and then shined them up a bit by adding Sakura Clear Glaze.  All of the patterned paper is My Mind’s Eye and the cardstock and ribbon are SU.
